Today I'll share this fabulous recipe with you.
Ingredients:
Pie Crust
1/3 cup (75g) Butter
1/4 cup (50g) Sugar
1 Egg
1 3/4 cup (200g) Flour
1 Tbsp. Water
Filling
10 Tbsp. (100g) Butter
10 Tbsp. (100g) Honey
1/2 cup (100g) Sugar
3 cups (400-500g) Nuts, hazelnuts, Almonds, Walnuts, etc.
Preheat oven to 350°F(180°C).
For the crust, combine the butter and sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Next add the egg and stir until well combined. Now add the flour and the water. Knead until it all holds together. If the is too soft and sticky, add more flour and knead again, until it wont stick to your heads and board anymore.
Roll the dough out and lay it in a buttered 9 inch(24 cm) springform or pie tin. Put it in the fridge to chill.
For the filling pour the selected nut into a bowl. If you choose nuts which are not chopped, chop them before pouring them into the bowl.
Place a saucepan over medium high heat and melt the butter. When the butter has melted, add the honey and sugar. Leave the saucepan over heat until the sugar has dissolved. When the sugar has dissolved pour the mixture over the nuts and combine well. Take the pie crust out of the fridge and pour the nut mix into it.
Bake for 20-30 min until golden brown.
The nuts I mentioned above are just suggestions. You can use whatever nuts you like. Also you can make smaller tartlets with this recipe. They are cute and perfect for when you have guest over for coffee. I haven't tried those, but I guess you should approximately 4-5 tartlets out of this recipe.
