What will I do next...???? Halloween Cupcakes thats what :D

So I baked something yesterday so that I can finish it today, but what will it be, hhhmmm?

I'm just saying that I'll be needing buttercream and fondant, but not more.
If you want to now what I'll be making, look up my blog in a few hours, then you'll be seeing more.

Okay the time is up, and I spend the whole day in the kitchen.
Yesterday I baked chocolate and vanilla cakes, so that I could make Halloween themed cupcakes out of them.

I used these Halloween paper cups and black paper cups to bake them in.
I also used Meringue Buttercream, cream cheese frosting and fondant to frost and decorate them.

Out of black fondant, I made some witches hats
.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_JKT5IM-pQ  This link is for a very good tutorial on how to make those witch hats.

With an apple corer, I cored some of the cupcakes and filled them with cherry jam, because it's so beautifully red. I thought because it' Halloween it would give the illusion of blood when you bite in them :)

I made a bit of chocolate buttercream for the graveyard cupcakes.

For the witch hat cupcakes I used purple buttercream as the based, which I piped onto the cupcake with the 1M Wilton piping tip. Also I put around some stars, just because I thought it pretty. For the band around the hat, sou ran use what ever color you like, I took purple because I thought of witch costumes at that they have the color purple and black most of the time.
I made the hats a bit crooked on purpose, because I think they don't have to be perfect.
Creepyyyyy.
For these I used the jam filled cupcakes and as the eyeball base I used yummy cream cheese frosting. For the vanes I used red buttercream as well as for the iris. For the pupil I used licorice, but you can also use fondant or buttercream.
The gravestones I made myself and they're cookies. I colored water with a little bit of black food color and painted them. The R.I.P. I piped with melted chocolate. For the dirt I used chocolate cake crumbs.

I also made some cupcakes with orange frosting and bat cupcake toppers, but the fondant wasn't dry enough so I take pictures of them tomorrow together with the others together.

I hope you like my creations if so, please, please, please leave a comment.

XOXO Owlicious
