Creme Brûlée

The first time I made Creme Brûlée was last year, after I've been on vacation to Las Vegas with my oldest brother. We were at a Buffee at the M Resort Hotel and Casino and they had so many desserts there and they were so little and cute.
And so my brother wanted me to do them as dessert for Christmas. I was petrified at first because every time I read something about Creme Brûlée, someone said it was difficult to make.
So I searched via Aunt Google for a good recipe and I found one, where the the amount of each ingredient is easy to remember and double or triple if need to.
And I got it right the first time.
This is Creme Brulee I made yesterday, just because it's so yummy.
Also it's a perfect finish to a delicious meal.
Because I made it for dessert last year, my family only wants Creme Brûlée on Christmas from now on.

For four servings of Creme Brûlée you'll need:

1 cup + 1 Tbsp. (250ml)Milk
1 cup + 1 Tbsp. (250ml)Cream
2/3 cup (150g) Sugar
2 Vanilla beans, core out the seeds
1 egg
4 egg yolks

1.In a pot heat up the milk, cream vanilla beans and their seed, then take away from heat and let it steep for 20 minutes.

2. Mix together the egg, the yolks and the sugar and mix well. Do not beat until fluffy!
In a thin stream pour the milk and cream to the eggs. Remove the vanilla beans.

3. Sieve the mixture in case that some of the egg may have solidified.
Then pour into Creme Brûlée dishes.
Heat up water and pour the water onto the baking sheet where your Creme is staying in.
Cook at 260°F(130°C) for about 30-40 minutes until it has solidified.

4. When it has cooled, sprinkle top with brown sugar and caramelize with a kitchen blow torch.
The crust has to crack when taking a spoon.

Creme Brûlée is the perfect dessert for people who have a sweet tooth and also you can prepare it a day ahead, so you don't have all the work on the day of your perfect dinner ;).
