Hamburger Buns, so easy yet so good

A couple of days ago I discussed with my team (A.K.A. my family), what to bake next, and, of course, my brother suggested something he could eat with meat.
Whereas I don't eat meat my brother eats my portion for me(yes I'm a vegetarian).
So we al thought and thought and thought and my mom got the idea of making burger buns and my brother almost begged me to make them right then and there(it was 6:30 p.m.).
I also loved the idea.
The first time I made this recipe a few months ago, the dough didn't wanted to rise well( stupid yeast) but taste wise they were yummy.
And this time the dough was perfect and so were the buns. They were light and fluffy and just soooo good, WOW.

And your Hamburger will taste even better with those home made Hamburger Buns;)
When you're using whole wheat flour(like I did) use a bit more fluid, not much, maybe 1/4 cups/60ml, because the whole wheat flour soaks the fluid up like. I always use 1/2 cup/60g normal white flour. I don't know why I do this, but I like it in my bread or buns.

For 10 Buns you'll need:
3 1/2 cups(420g) Flour
1/2 Tsp. Salt
1/2 Tsp. Sugar
1 Package dry Yeast
2 Tbsp.(30g) Butter
1 cup+2 Tbsp. Milk
1 egg
some sesame

1. Melt the butter in a pan and once it has melted, add the milk. Let the mixture get warm and set aside.
Sift the flour, salt, sugar and yeast into a large bowl. Add the butter-milk mixture and process everything into a nice, pliable and soft dough.
Dust your working space with flour, pour the dough onto it, and knead for a few minutes.
Grease or flour your bowl, put dough back in and place aside to a warm place so that it can rise for 45 minutes.

2. Preheat your oven to 440°F/225°C.
Get your dough and knead or box all of the air out.  Knead for a few minutes and divide it into 10 equal pieces( they don't have to be too equal, mine weren't either).
Roll the pieces into little balls and place them on a parchment paper covered baking sheet.
Cover the buns with a slightly wet towel and set aside to a warm place again for about 30 minutes.

3. Out of the egg create an egg wash.
Brush the buns with the egg wash and sprinkle sesame on top.

Bake for 10-12 minutes until they have this nice golden brown color.
These buns really are so easy, but so yummy.
You can make any burger you want to, ad any size you want. An idea I got, was to make little burgers, perfect as finger food for Super Bowl or an party or just when you get together with friends or family as a little slider or snack.
I give you an link for an website where you can find many delicious burger recipes, so that it never gets boring http://allrecipes.com/recipes/meat-and-poultry/beef/hamburgers/.
And eating a burger doesn't mean it has to be all fatty and unhealthy. You can make burgers be delicious but without the afterthought of " I shouldn't have". Instead of white flour use whole wheat flour, or instead of beaf use chicken and lots of vegetables.

Anyway you eat it Bon appetite!🍔

XOXO Owlicious ;)
