To bake everything possible rainbow style is a trend right now, and I'm sooo into it.
My older brother, who loves everything I bake, bugged me for days to make him pancakes. And for a while I was like "If you want pancakes, make yourself some", but today, because it was so cloudy and dark outside, I needed something to cheer me up. That's when I remembered that I saw something on another blog a while ago: RAINBOW PANCAKES!!!!!
So I decided to make them.
For about 12 Pancakes you need
1 1/3 cups (160g) Flour
1/2 Tsp. Salt
1 Tsp. Baking powder
4Tbsp. Sugar
4 Large eggs
1/3(80ml) Milk or Buttermilk
1 Tsp. Vanilla extract or 1 Package Vanilla Sugar
Food color( red, blue, green, yellow, orange, purple)
1. Mix together the flour, salt, baking powder, sugar and vanilla sugar if using.
Also mix together the milk and the eggs: If you are using the vanilla extract also add that.
2. Now add the liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until the lumps are gone.
3. Divide the batter into different bowls. The more colors you use, the more bowls you need. Color the batter, and fry in a pan.
4. Serve with or without maple syrup.
These pancakes are perfect to entertain the kids during breakfast and to get a smile on your face in the morning, when all you want to do is to lie in bed.
XOXO Owlicious
