Almond bites, as the name says, are made of almonds and chocolate. They're so simple, yet delicious.
I always pimp mine with cookie crumbs or cornflakes for a bit more texture and taste. You can also add some christmas spices like cinnamon to make it more seasonally.
I make mine with milk chocolate and dark chocolate, but you can also use white chocolate if you like.
With this recipe you can vary the ingredients.
For the Almond bites you'll need:
9 ounces(250g) Almonds, (chopped, slivered)
7 ounces chocolate(dark, milk or white), melted
If you like some cornflakes or cookies crumbled into coarse crumbs
1. Put the almonds into a middle large bowl.
Over the heat of a double boiler, melt the chocolate. Pour the melted chocolate over the almonds and mix until everything is covered in chocolate.
2. With two tablespoons, spoon the almond-chocolate mix into longish heaps onto a parchment paper covered surface( you can use a baking sheet or a big board, which I used because there is much space)
3. Let them harden completely before serving.
Almond bites really are delicious, and disappear more quickly then you think.
XOXO Owlicious
